In this course you will learn
In this comprehensive two-day course, dentists will gain in-depth knowledge of both the surgical and restorative aspects of implant-supported and implant-retained overdentures. The program explores various attachment types, outlining their advantages and limitations while providing practical, hands-on training in surgical and prosthetic procedures. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on workshops, participants will build a solid foundation in bone physiology, bone density, and applied anatomy. They will learn anesthesia protocols, incision and flap design, suturing, and therapeutics, along with applied imaging, treatment planning, 3D implant positioning, and drilling, placing, and loading protocols specific to overdentures. The course also covers restorative workflows for overdenture cases. The hands-on portion includes drilling protocols, implant placement with cover screws and healing abutments, bone reduction techniques, suturing, alveolar ridge preservation and bone grafting, as well as chairside pick-up impressions.
