COURSE OVERVIEW:

This is an introductory course into the world of dental Implantology, designed for professionals who already have experience with minor oral surgeries but not necessarily Implant placement ones. Indicated for doctors who want to acquire knowledge in a diverse range of Implant and Implant-related procedures and Implant restorative workflows for singles & bridges.

This course will help other general dentists and/or specialists to learn how to open a soft tissue flap, place dental implants in different bone types, suture and restore implants to replace missing natural dentition. It also goes over different types of biomaterials, the indication of using and possible complications.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Attendees will learn:
• The fundamental concepts of bone physiology, bone density and applied anatomy.
• CBCT, treatment planning, 3D Implant positioning, how to preserve the biological width on dental
Implant procedures, drilling, placing, and loading protocols.
• Risk factors for dental implant placement.

• Incision, flap design, suturing and therapeutics.
• The science and best practices on alveolar ridge preservation and basic bone grafting, for horizontal
and vertical defects.
• Digital and analogue impression
• Implant restorative workflows for singles & bridges. Transferring the emergence profile for implant
restorations.

HANDS-ON WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
• Placing implant in different bone types
• Different suturing techniques
• Socket preservation, horizontal and vertical bone grafting.
• Open and close tray impression
• Digital impression



INSTRUCTOR: 
Dr. Tirakhsh Emadi, DDS, MS, DABOI

Dr. Emadi is a prosthodontist and Implant specialist practicing in Long Beach, Ca. He received his D.D.S (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree in 2009 from Tehran Azad University of Dentistry, Tehran, IRAN. Dr. Emadi practiced general dentistry for several years. He was a prosthodontics preceptor at the University of California, San Francisco before he entered Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he received his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics as well as Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Emadi was serving as a Chief Resident during his residency. He was honored with the dental implant surgery award at the end of his residency. Dr. Emadi completed the Maxicourse dental implant education in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also excels in digital dentistry.

Dr. Emadi is a diplomate and board certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID). He is very passionate in practicing and teaching on single implants, Overdenture, full mouth dental implant rehabilitation, zygomatic and pterygoid implants, digital workflow as well as doing research. He had more than twenty-five presentations in different dental meetings and published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. His presentation in 70th AAID annual conference received first- place award. He also received a second-place award in 29th Academy of Osseointegration Annual Meeting.

Dr. Emadi is an active member of American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association
(CDA), Harbor Dental Society (HDS), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Academy of
Osseointegration (AO) and he is a member of Academy News Committee, Young Clinician Committee, and E-Poster Committee in AO.
